1. Your Clothing
Wear bold, solid colors for best results. In selecting your wardrobe it is important to avoid patterns in fabric and any large logos.

2. Preparing Your Skin
You will need to pay attention to skin hydration at least a week ahead of your photo shoot.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

This also means avoiding salt and assuring adequate rest.

3. Haircut / Hairstyling
When selecting your hair style it’s best to choose one at least a week or two before your photo shoot. It is important to chose a hair style that you can re-create for the shoot.

Avoid hair products that expose your scalp. A product such as “Magic Move” will not show your scalp areas.

4. Your Eyebrows
The best look is to let your eyebrows be natural.

Plucking your eye brows may leave red marks and any attempts at bleaching may in fact irritate your skin.

5. Your Teeth ( your smile!)
Clearly, you need to avoid anything that could stain your teeth. If you have some yellowing or stains on your teeth we recommend whitening using a whitening tooth paste product.

6. Make-up
We suggest no make-up for men preparing for a headshot session.

7. Suit and Ties
Suit fit and style are the keys to a great look and a successful headshot. The knot should complement the collar.

8. Trust your Photographer
Collaborate with an experienced headshot photographer who understands your goals. Discuss your preferences and let them guide you in capturing the best version of yourself.

9. Consider Professional Styling
If you’re unsure about choosing the right outfit or styling your hair, consider consulting a professional stylist. Their expertise can help you create a cohesive and impactful look.
