Welcome to our comprehensive guide on headshot tips for women! A compelling headshot is a powerful tool that can enhance your professional image, boost your confidence, and open doors to exciting opportunities. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, executive, artist, or aspiring professional, these expert tips will help us create stunning headshots that capture your unique personality and make a lasting impression. Let’s dive in and discover how to shine in your professional headshots!
 1. Your Clothing
Wear bold, solid colors for best results. In selecting your wardrobe it is important to avoid patterns in fabric and any large logos.

Avoid shirts with dstracting elements such as puffy sleaves, distracting combinations of fabrics and the like.

2. Preparing Your Skin
You will need to pay attention to skin hydration at least a week ahead of your photo shoot. You should be sure to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Also, please avoid salt and strive to obtain adequate rest so you are ready for your session.

3. Hairstyling
Prepare your hairstyle choice at least a week ahead of your photo shoot. It is recommended that your hairstyle is easy – so you can re-create it for your photographs.

Do you wear your hair primarily up? Do you always wear your hair down? Please come prepared to switch up your look so we can capture your typically look – and perhaps some fun looks as well.

Did you know that parting your hair on the left is much more standard than the right. Around 70% of the population part their hair on the left. They also say “left parters” are typically more artistic, whereas “right parters” are more scientific. Who knew!

4. Your Eyebrows
Your natural look is what works best…so let them be! A natural look is preferred and please don’t pencil them in for the photo shoot.

Plucking your eye brows may leave red marks and any attempts at bleaching may in fact irritate your skin. So if you feel you need to do either of these activities, please do so in advance to minimize noticeability.

5. Your Teeth ( your smile!)
Anything that might create a stain on your teeth are to be avoided.

If you find that your teeth have some yellowing or stains, it will be best to whiten them with a quality whitening tooth past product. There are several options to choose from such as Crest WhiteStrips or Colgate Optic White Advanced Teeth Whitening Toothpaste. I’ve used both products and they are superior. They even have a Pro / Professional level available at your dentist.

6. Your Make-up | Color and Skin Tone
Use liquid foundation non-matte (with moisture or hydrating).

Please refer to the videos over on the left which have been selected as valuable references to help prepare and make your photo shoot outstanding!

7. Capture a Wide Variety of Looks
Experiment with different outfits, hairstyles, and makeup options to showcase versatility. This will alow you to have headshots for different purposes and platforms.
